It might be worth being a bit more informative about the way you post complaints. What is the main probs over there? why is it Dodgy?
Maintenance, Rostering, Do tell,

Canuck15 7th Jan 2012 06:24

Really

Beause you didnt get something you wanted and now suddenly a 17 year old airline becomes dodgy by your standards.

HHHHMMMMM

condorbaaz 7th Jan 2012 06:55

Guess what?

Heard they r getting a salary cut again..

Dodgy? An Airline which does not begin the process to hire Type Rated Nationals, and instead hires Expats, and the changes the terms to their advantage is indeed dodgy..

But TC

Capt Turbo 9th Jan 2012 13:55

JNS....That would close down most of the treads in the SA+SE forum :ok:

And would parental discretion help? Have you seen their behavior when discussing in Parliament? :ugh::ugh:

Keep laughing......T

Jet

I worked for Jet and was paid a "hire than industry" rate. However, I was never reimbursed for several items that Jet instructed me to pay and submit for reimbursement,

Like 99% percent of Asian Indians, they don't pay for anything they think they can get away with.

squarecrow 25th Jan 2012 03:49

Kingfisher is the best Google: at not paying Sim Companies for doing recurrent training in there facilities. Guess thats why they have to pay first before using them.
Didnt the bank also repo some Aircraft recently?

Win94 4th Feb 2012 05:29

**** I was thinking about joining.....Is it that bad????????????

masalama 4th Feb 2012 06:07

the people are great.

Jet has some good people working there ..from pilots, ground staff, crew etc.Very dedicated and quality staff but sadly ,financially , the airline's doing bad as can be seen from their results which are public . Cost-cutting mode across the board , every department instructed to find cost-saving,revenue generation & efficiency measures.
T's & C's will not improve in the foreseeable future and it might be the tipping point for some very good people to leave to a more secure and paying airline ,possibly overseas.

I sometimes wonder how and why the ground staff work in these conditions in some of the smaller stations but do so unflinchingly as if it's their own ?

Let's hope for the indian industry that things pickup and some good news comes our way in the future.

Win94, no it isn't! There are a lot of expats here who are quite happy!

Once you get through the initial induction (?) and the laborious things like the medical and get online the flying is really enjoyable and well managed.

Ok yes the pay has been running a bit late the last few months but I am confident we will get paid (unlike Kingfisher) and Jet are in a much stronger position than many of the others.

In summary it's not perfect but not as bad as some people are portraying here.

+1. It's probably the best expat gig in India, with Indigo a fairly close second (from what I've heard). The pay at Jet was ten days late last month, and will be the same this month. The "cost-cutting" is weak compared to a western airline. Jet runs like a Swiss watch compared to some other operators I've been with (east AND west).
