Foreign medical for DGCA CPL conversion.
Hello all,
Any clue what a valid foreign medical means with the DGCA? The application states the need for a valid foreign medical? But what class of medicals?- I guess class I. But is class II also not a valid medical? What would happen if one was to submit an application with a class II medicals? |
Sometimes i think they should have an IQ test to be able to register on these forums.
You Indians have some of the most absurd threads/posts around here. What is the requirement of a CPL license? Yes a class 1 medical...Why on earth would someone issue a CPL on a class2 medical? |
And where would you be from Sir LieDetector?
Do you know how many countries in the world issue a CPL with Class 2 medicals? God! do your research before you start cussing all over this beautiful forum. I see your interpretation of my question- your answer and your unwelcome comment about it and I think they should have a general comprehension and professional ethics test instead. If you havent got the answer to my question- stay out. |
You're right. Some countries do issue a CPL with a valid Class 2 medical certificate. For the Indian CPL, submit your Class 1 to be on the safer side.

Re:Foreign medical for DGCA CPL conversion
. Hello all, Any clue what a valid foreign medical means with the DGCA? The application states the need for a valid foreign medical? But what class of medicals?- I guess class I. But is class II also not a valid medical? What would happen if one was to submit an application with a class II medicals? I am quoting from what i understand from the conversation between me and a DGCA official, The DGCA requires a Valid Indian Class 1 medical when u submit the application for the CPL, at the same time the DGCA also requires a Valid Class 1 foreign medical even though the foreign country may issue the CPL with Class 2 or 3. The reason for this being that the DGCA always requires the requirements fulfilled in its equivalence. I learnt this the hard way because the validity of my Foreign Class 1 medical was 13 months and the DGCA converted the medical validity into its equivalence to 12 months and I had to basically do the medical again. So thats what it is in a whole and i am sure ur doubt is sorted out. PM me if u need any help. Regards DUSHROX |
Check your PM Dushrox.
Smurf- I have already submitted a Class 2 medical and taking heat over it. Wish I had raised this question earlier. :ugh: |
