kingfisher recruitment

i have heard through various friends that people are being recruited by kingfisher airlines. rumors are that exam was conducted some time back and people were selected and given LOI and asked to go for type rating (to TRTO of their choice). Am surprised that there is nothing on pprune about it.
will appreciate any info.

i have actually heard the same rumors , seems like those who got in don't want to share and as there were no official announcements , no one knows about it either .

it is actually half-true....people are getting recruited in kingfisher but a very selected few....only peole who are working in kingfisher in other departments and hold a CPL are being given the opportunity......and that too very limited seats are there....
so its basically a no-show for other outsiders like us:ugh:

i know only limited seats are there, and first preference is given to the people working there.

i dont have any first hand info but i believe that it is same scenario as of spicejet in 2009/10 (lot of guys were recruited without any advertisement along with "daddy's princess" garima passi). :ugh::ugh:

It is normal practice to offer positions within the company before external recruitment....

Nothing to be :ugh: (just makes you look foolish)

I would not be too excited about KF as a few pilots from their ranks just joined Jet Airways... Why? Because the were type rated TWO years ago and never touched the controls of the aircraft...

I wonder what type of pilots KFA is hiring backdoor because i know one person who got in although i dont know how . The same person believed the cabin air vent in a C-152 to be the static vent before the PPL checkride , and now the same person will be on the right hand seat of an A320 , is there any justice in the world :ugh:

@PT6A

i appreciate you took time out to contribute to this thread (and for generous remark).

would appreciate more if you read it before posting. :ok:

Yes it's true KFA did hold some selections about a month or so back, but they were limited to KFA cadet pilots alone. I guess once their Cadet pilots have been hired, recruitment would open up to the rest but I wouldn't hold my breath on it, last I heard a lot had cleared the selections and were still waiting for their LOI

Also, none who were selected so far afaik have started flying yet

dark_star 12th May 2011 03:53

one of the guys i trained with has been given LOI by kingfisher. he is not aviation insider ( so theory of internal recruitment is out of the window) and since he was training with me he was not a kingfisher cadet.

( and for those interested in knowing a bit more, he is one of the dumbest persons i have ever met, can easily give competition to yash's friend (mentioned in his post above))

Their parents would have compensated for their foolishness and lack of knowledge with some money and influence everywhere.

By the way has anyone attended Capt Aravind Bhat's Naviagtion classes.
Was planning on attending Surinder Singh's classes, but couldnt find a PG with a reasonable price.

aviator86 12th May 2011 11:44

I spoke to his assistant, he's still taking classes.
Is it possible to get a single room PG for around 5-8k, i found few ads on the internet they all are asking for 12k and more.
