Indian FOs - cash in hand after expenses
 

Curious what takehome pay works out to after all the expenses. From what I understand companies in India publish salaries as Cost to Company (CTC) so the actual figure is much less.

If the trend is to self fund the type rating or sign a training bond - how do the numbers work out for the pilots starting out?

Recall Spicejet had a takehome of around 80K and Indigo, AI around 1- 1.5lakh for newer FOs. How do these numbers work out after you take out the deductions, taxes, and loan amounts (self - funded type / training bond or both!).

Spice gives more now i think... but still less compared to others.. not sure wats d latest package though.

Since 2006 AI takes home after completing 1 year of probation online is about 2 Lacs. But they deduct 25 Lac over a period of 5 yrs for training so you end up getting about 1.6-1.7 in hand.

Jet takes home is about 1.7 Lacs

GoAir pays a gross salary of 1 Lac for 1st 500 hours and then 1.8. After ATPL 2.8.

Just over 3L on the 777
pretty bad if you ask me...

Yes. During probation it is 1.1 in hand after getting the rating

I heard that 777 f/o at Jet gets about 2.3 in hand. Is the just over 3 at AI gross or in hand?

In hand, I am not a new FO. Have a lot of hours on the B777.
And I know FOs on jet 777s making much more than what you stated.
But i am not really sure what a new FO makes over there but here in AI for a new FO on the B777 its low, make sense since these new guys have bonds, type rating cost etc...
