Can you tell us where did you get that from?
On the Jet Airways website it doesn't say anything about A 330 Jobs. If i am not mistaken jet airways only upgrades the 737 guys to the 777 and 330 fleets..

I saw the same advertisement in todays Times of India -Ascent Newspaper.

I find it odd that they require A320 TR guys when they don't have any 320 in their fleet or on order. Does this mean that those with 320TR get pushed into 330 ?

Commonality

All members of the Airbus single-aisle A320 Family (comprised of the A318, A319, A320 and A321) share the same pilot type rating, enabling crews to fly any of them with a single licence endorsement. The larger A330 and A340 widebodies share the same basic handling qualities and common cockpit layout as the other Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft, so a pilot qualified on any of the A320 Family aircraft can easily transition to the A330/A340, and vice versa.

Conversion from one new-generation type to another involves a short differences training course, undertaken as part of the Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) concept developed by Airbus. For example, pilots transitioning from the A320 Family to the A330 or A340 aircraft need only eight working days for their CCQ instead of 25 working days for a full type rating training course. Pilots transitioning from the A330 to the A340 require only three days, and it takes only one day to move from the A340 to the A330.

I got it from the Times of India ascent e-paper which was published yesterday :)

from their website.......

We are currently not recruiting for any new positions.

It has come to our notice that certain websites are purporting to advertise job vacancies with Jet Airways (India) Limited. Please note that such advertisements are NOT, in any manner, authorized or permitted by us. Net users are advised to ignore such advertisements.:ugh:

... and another thing ...

There's no such word as "aircrafts" :hmm:

cyrilroy21 4th Nov 2010 13:48

Oh God

The above ad was published in the newspapers in India on November the 3rd 2010

I got it from the same link

Times Of India ePaper
Check out the chennai edition (its on the first page)

Secondly the above positions are not advertised on their website....
I have no idea why....

But however they are hiring....

You just have to look at the careers section of the jet airways (India) website
It wont show you the available positions if you choose any location other than India

Here try this link
Careers

I hope this proves that the above post is genuine

P.S The above ad is still not posted on their website as of this writing but they are looking for foreign captains on the 737 & ATR
( check the above link)

Good Luck :E

Goodness gracious ! You kids are still living in a fool's paradise !
Im sure you'd know better after being in this field for a while (even at CPL level).

These newspaper advertisements are being circulated with the sole intention of getting the DGCA to extend the FATA deadline for expats.

..... and yeah ... after a break .. IM BACK !! your AGENT !!! :E
