First Officer post in Singapore

Dear All,

I am just new to this thread, i was wondering if someone can help me, i am looking for an opportunity in Singapore as FO. I have type rating on A320 but with zero hours, base training also done. I just got my permanent residency as well in Singapore. I hope there's somebody here who can help.. Thanks for all those who will take time to response.

Godbless everybody!

Perhaps just a bit more information?
Such as age, flying experience (hours etc) might be helpful.
I lived in SIN for quite sometime, long ago, flying the B707 in command for SQ.
Very pleasant days.:ok:

Excellent advice, I'd say.

If you were there during the Jack Boyce era 411 Singapore
has changed a lot and expensive as hell since Harry's kid took over.

JS would be the pick of the bunch.

Don't they require jet time at least on any aircraft or time on type ?

Spoke to an Air Asia ex-pat captain, he said they need at least jet time on any aircraft...e.g. Westwind, Lear, etc., much better if time on type...:(

We can only hope and pray that the airlines will hire on the basis of just a type rating like India.

Also, try Air Macau.... know someone who got hired after sim training in Miami for the A320 but with 1,000 hrs on light aircrafts.

good luck to all..... :ok:

He said he had a chance for the A320 IN Singapore, not at SIA. Likelyhood is that he's looking at Tiger.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks to all of you who gave time to post a response... PappyJ's right, i am looking at either JS or tiger air.:ok:

Cheers to all!!

Pardon me, but wasn't that a long time ago ?

I'd prefer to "hope and pray" that airlines will hire based on previous experience not a shiny new type rating paid for by the applicant.

707?, you must be a Paya Lebar veteran then :) It's much more cramped and expensive in SIN compared to before.

Does anyone know how Tiger's search for 20 pilots is going ? There seems to be no official deadline. Moreover:
1. Are the minimum requirements for DECs or DEFOs or both ? Can't be the same (just says "PILOTS").
2. Also, although not mentioned in the advert, are the vacancies in reality for local Singaporeans only ?

Tiger Airways Telephone

I called up Tiger Airways just now.

68222300 and then press 4 to get to the Flight Operations.

One Indian (from India) answered the call and kept saying not Flight Operations.

What wrong with this Indian? Or did I hit the wrong telephone button?

The voice message prompted caller to hit '4' in order to get to Flight Ops. So, something is wrong with the automated voice message. :ugh:

Next time, I will dial '5'.

I just sent in mine. Hopefully, my picture in CV does not annoy them. :(

Dont worry, as long as the mirror doesnt crack while you look into it, you should be fine.:} I've seen some pretty ugly pilots in my short life.
