Juanda Airport - Surabaya

Can some pilots flying to Juanda Airport please tell me what will be the height of a B737 aircraft when it is around Waru area (Pepelegi to be exact) and about maybe 5 km (I am guessing the distance too) to touchdown.

I have been guessing all the time - 5000 ft. Am I correct?

Thank you.

5000ft at 5 km can't be right.
based on 3 degrees gradient, 5km=2,7 nm = 833feet..

at nimas point, you should be at 2500ft, waru located between nimas and runway

Thank you brasmelzuit.

I now live in Delta Sari Baru, (Waru) and I am just guessing at the height the planes are flying. (Mostly B737s and MD 80s and 90s from Lion Air.

So they are flying at 883 feet, but it seems so much higher from the ground where I am standing.

Again, I am just guessing that the distance from Waru to touchdown at Juanda is 5 km. It could be more.

Thanks any way.

From the threshold of runway 10 to junction of Jatisari and Jatisari 3 it's 3.6NM...so they'll be about 1080ft above.

To the main highway it's 4.2NM... Which is where roughly where the WR NDB is... at about 1260 above... but the instrument approach for ILS10 has you coming over outer marker (4NM or 7.75km from threshold) at 1320 above (alt 1330).

PK-KAR Thank you.

Any idea what will be the height be if the aircraft is flying around Makro on the left or Singapore National Academy on the right (near Giant hypermarket)?

Thank you.
