Question on NG

Every airplane I have flown has a max tailwind limitation of 10 knots except the NG, I have heard a few explanations on why but nothing too convincing. Can any one shed some light on what the reason is for that is.
Thanks

A MaxTailwind Component for Landing

Freightpuppy:

This is a general comment.
One possible reason would be the maximum tyre speed rating, in the event of a clean wing approach and landing.

Some of our classics have a 15 knot tail wind limitation the original owners paying for the relevent pages in the AFM.

Not an answer, but an other question...

I understand that the classic and the NG don' t have the same wing. In addition the NG initial climb capabilities (vertical speed) is much higher. Is that a begining of explanation? Is the tailwind certification has anything to do with the initial vertical speed performance at gross weight? The max tailwind for the landing and take off are for a lot of airplane (including the 737) the same. Is that because of the tyres design or flying characteristics?
