KAL B737NG Captain Interviews
 

I am interested in doing this interview in July. Just wondering if anyone has gone thru the interview process recently for the B737 Direct entry Captain, and also what to expect. I read on this forum about how bad the B777 program is, and want to know if I am waisting my time to do the B737 Interview. The contract is thru CCL, seems pretty good. And also, how do they do the Sim profile, do they send you the info ahead of time so that you have time to study the information for the profile?

Can't help much about the 737 (I'm on the 744), but as an old *** of 7 years with KAL I can tell you this:
-You are with a good agency, CCL has the best reputation of them all;
-Don't pay much attention to the sour grapes comments all over the Forum;
-Mind your appearance and behaviour (KAL is a VERY conservative outfit);
-Avoid confrontation if possible, because it would send you home in no time.
Basically don't forget it's their turf and try to play by their rules. Your effort will be appreciated by them and it will OK as long as you fly well and know your stuff. Nothing extraordinary, really.
