ATPL reference books

Hi all...

Does anyone know where to find or buy ATPL level reference books in Singapore? Thx in advance.

Dear Frying Dutchman,

Might want to try the Airman Shop at Clemenceau Road(the building with MAS Ticketing), next to Park Mall Shopping centre. But I reckon the best reference books are from PPSC (Professional Pilot's Study Centre) in U.K. They are very comprehensive, informative and comes with revision papers. Or you might want to look at Malaysian Flying Academy at Malacca. Hope this is helpful.

Madchinaman,

The Airman Shop is no more located at Clemenceau Road. It has shifted quite sometime ago. Its now located at Phoenix Hotel(basement) or better known as Specialist Shopping Centre.

FD,

I hope you still can acquire those books there but I doubt so. Its no more known as the Airman Shop its known as a Religious Shop(Christians). But if you are lucky, you still can get books, videos and useless maps.

You can try Borders, the best would be to buy through the NET from Sporty's ! Just to let you know Singapore does not cater for Aviation enthusiast.

Good Luck Mate

Borders has got a limited range too. The aviation books are with the rail and motorcycles section.

Hi FD,
How's the application process going?

Hi all...

Singapore bookstores really sucks. I have tried Borders before and those books that they sell are quite basic or not really relevant to what I m trying to find out. What a pity if that bookstore at Phoenix change to a Christian shop.

Sunny, I m really tired of my current job. I m losing my sanity ;)
I m thinking of applying for the July intake but i know they won't read a word more of my resume once they see I have not passed their age requirement. What the hell.....

guys,

the other place you can get good aviation books is kinokuniya at 3rd or 4th level of takashimaya.they are located at the upper platform near the coffee joint

as for exam and study materials, i do have a small library of ppsc, underdown, kermode, AST, david hoy, trevor thom etc, etc, etc.

my advise is, call the DCA/CAAS or whichever organisation you want to sit the exams with to request for an exam syllabus plus reference material, that will be best.

forget about MFA :p

good luck :D
