Anyone heard the rumour that Pansy is increasingly throwing her and STDM's weight around as executive director of Air Macau......MGM in the wings?

Come again?
 

Oh dear, with a mighty dose of the small bluey.....maybe! Panty hose throwing weight around...........bane of many Asian flight ops, the DFO's secretaries and girl fridays are really big bullies.

There may be some truth to it. She did go spastic with NX CEO at the last board meeting - not surprising given MAX's progress.

Pansy only looks like a heavyweight in a Macau context.

Shun Tak survives on its legacy of monopoly businesses, most of which will fade from view as competition begins to leak into Macau. So ST now increasingly relies on selling off the family land bank.

Sure, Pansy will also sometimes team up with more skilled business partners (MGM etc) but the actual ST involvement in this type of interaction is minimal. Pansy opens doors and rubber stamps joint ventures - her team is not sufficiently experienced to do more and concentrates most on trying not to stir up her tai-tai temper.

If this is NX's best hope - having Pansy take more charge - god help everyone.
