Am I too young to fly?
Hi guys,is the age limit still a consideration for SQ CADET PILOTS?The reason I'm asking this is because, from my understanding, the age limit is implemented due to one's eligibility for the RSAF Pilot selection. However,I've heard sources claiming that if one is rejected from the RSAF Pilot selection, that individual is then allowed to sign up as a Cadet Pilot with SQ.Is this anywhere near the truth or is the age requirement still a factor? And even if its a factor, why isn't it published publicly?Since you guys are the best ones to turn to,I would greatly appreciate if any of you could shed some light regarding this issue.
Yours Sincerely, Vibes Age:22 years old:ugh: |
Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but a mate from Singapore flying college tells me you need to be 25 before you can apply to SQ for a cadet...
Good luck |
There was one SQ 777 Captain only 27 yrs old few yrs back. I dont think he started flying at 25.

You are never to young to fly. At age 4, I flew off my dad's garden shed with an ironing board strapped to my back.:} |
The age limit is actually 26, although you may be granted an interview when you are as young as 23, and your credentials are outstanding enough. And if you are deemed good enough to be offered the job, SIA will seek clearance from RSAF, or KIV your case till you turn 25.
