List your Top 5 Airlines for Expats!

Title says it all..... From Pay to QOL, what are the top "5" airlines you feel are best for Expat's? Though I'm years from being there, I am curious.

Yes! Very true! These two airlines (Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific) have the most expats!

Sorry to dispute your numbers, but from where I sit, SQ is way lower on expat numbers compared to CX and EK...might want to have another count! Cheers

if you look it for a moment from the money side of it
i gotta say that the INDIAN airlines are on the top of the list
some could say JetAirways, other's Kingfisher
as of now there are 496 expats skippers in India
and growing, every month
also, the fleet "avg" age in the airline i fly its less than 3 years!
a good incentive, plus good housing, and many working options
for the one's who like commuting
on the downside, its the facilities & infrastructure
theyre OLD..............................really OLD
ready to explode

NAC (Nippon Air Cargo) used to be right up there at or near the top.

What do you define as an "expat" job?

Ryanair's got to be the biggest "expat" airline in the world if you look at how many drivers work there vs how many are actually Irish citizens. Same with Easyjet, probably half the UK based pilots consist of dutch, scandi's, other europeans, kiwis, aussies.

EAM 23rd Aug 2007 11:22

Well, a european in europe is not really an expat. I am german, working in Italy, but I dont see myself as an expat.

Bavarian or austrian in germany, yes thats an expat:}

I have to agree, I can't even imagine the numbers over on my side of the globe from Canada working in the US or visa versa. I almost think we mean "excontinent".

As opposed to 'incontinent'...:}

hamil 23rd Aug 2007 13:13

Errr... but the topic question is what are the top "5" airlines you feel are best for expats or what are the top "5" airlines with more expats? :}

BigHardOn 23rd Aug 2007 15:13

1. Cathay Pacific

2. Emirates

3. China Airlines (Captain's Only)

4. Etihad Airways (Great opportunities for upgrades)

5. Jet Airways (Captain's can be based in Europe and North America I believe)

airbus2boeing 23rd Aug 2007 23:33

China Airlines (for Captains only)

Are you on drugs?

BigHardOn 24th Aug 2007 19:47
