Commerical or airforce?

Though I hold a full time job as a computer systems analyst, I would like to be a pilot.
I have already applied for a pilot post with the army. Its almost 9 months and I need to go for another ECG check up. I am already 25 and will soon be overaged.

Now I am thinking of joining a commercial airline, since the chances of dropping out will be slimmer compared to being an army pilot.

Anyone can give me some advice one this?

Do you have any interest in flying military?
You really need to ask in the Far East forum, as these are very UK-focussed where you have currently posted.
