Jump in four wheel drive and visit cattle stations-join them as a station hand, and if there is any flying to be done, then you might be lucky enough.Check visas and licence requirements.Do a search on cattle stations and then off you go-I mean go,its a big country mate.
Good luck

Not the best place to look for work as a pilot, even if you have the right to work you will be up against many unemployed locals who will get preference. Pay not to great either. Many, many Aussies forced to go abroad as unable to advance at home.

If you're coming down anyway have a look around, but don't get your hopes up.
