Hi the cie you are referring may be Vietnam Airlines or KAL
None of them hire directly

Re: A330Crew

The one that I am referring to are suppose to be in India. Quite a few agencies are advertising for the so called upcoming positions; however they are not willing to disclose the name of the company until they have you on their database.
What they are advocating is a three years contract and around 11k a month. What they intentionally fail to point out is a clause on the contract that says the parties may terminate the contract with one month notice” And it does not take an astronaut to conclude that the minute these companies get their own nationals qualified to operate, next comes the one month notice.
Any elaboration on the topic?

China eastern is getting the new A330 coming in. and as I have said before, info. from the top mangement. hireing crew overseas would be the last thing to do if CES could have any other way around it. Probably in the fear of the uneven pay between local and foreign employee would lead to a bigger resignation storm. The managements already have enough headache of this happening in the provincial branches of almost all.

This "one month notice" clause is nothing unusual; you haven't been out much if you have not seen such a clause before.
It allows BOTH sides to end the contract, not just the employer.
Of course, all things being equal, any airline would prefer to hire locals. The clause works both ways - you accuse the employer of being sneaky in not drawing your attention to the one month clause, suggesting that they would dump you in a heartbeat, so are you saying that if YOU come across a better deal, that you would not exercise the "one-month clause"?
Here you have a contract, you are an adult, but you expect the other party to the contract to advise you?
