Hello guys i have done lots of search in all forums but still havent decided where i should go to look for job.im prepared to spend 1 month in Asia to look for work and from my understanding the place where i would have more chances is either Thailand,Malaysia or Indonesia.Could you please any of you who have been there advise me about where to start and what the companies requirments in general are like/I have about 1000 hrs and 100 multi,do u honestly think i have a chance to find work or it will be just a holiday trip?
thanks a lot
Chris

Have an enjoyable holiday. If you go with that in mind you will not then return disappointed.

Thank you for your honest reply but what do u mean ' i wont return disapointed'?have u been there?u think its difficult for someone with low hours to get a job there?if i dont have any chance of finding job there can u suggest of any other country to visit?perhaps china or nepal?

Don't mean to bring you down but to be honest and cut to the chase - there is slim to nil chance of finding work in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, etc.

Been there done that and spoke to many many many pilots. The reason being is that there are locals that can do the job of a low hour pilot. The only suggestions I have are to go to smaller frieght outfits in Malaysia (there are a few operators of 208s there) - any other place: enjoy the weather and have fun.

Thank you yyzdub for your advice.Well,i understand i dont have many chances to get a big jet job but as you said i could get some work on caravans or other similar size planes.Do u have any suggestions about which companies i would stand a better chance considering my experience?also apart from malaysia are there many small operators that fly caravans in indonesia?

be ready...

Might worth a try if you ready for the 'underpaid' remuneration......but generally they prefer type rated pilot for the expats...

hellboy,do u think if i was prepared to fund my own type rating i would have a chance?do they require time on type for expatriates?
