Firstly my thoughts go out to everyone effected, especially given the current state of the industry.

I heard rumours all expats had once again been told to leave. Do you know if this also includes the ATR drivers?

Red face Illegal Termination

More than 200+ Captains on A320 as well as 100+ ATR Captains have been
Illegally terminated, forcefully given pay cuts and leave without pay serving
the notice period unable to leave on their rotational leave given by the airline
during the lockdown..
Worse is airline won't pay for the more expensive Repatriation Tickets
only available due to the lockdown even when contract states that
ticket would be furnished at the end of contract..
Indians are a massive lot in terms of population so don't be fooled into
thinking you will be given honor or respect when you join this Airline.
There are too many English speaking Pilots in India than in China which gives
You no room for self worth and preservation...
Made in India first..

India now has surplus local Captains after closure of Jet Airways, also the Covid 19 Pandemic sent a lot of Expat Indian crew back home unemployed. Air India/Indian Airlines Crew also bailing out due to long delayed salaries and trying to join IndiGo.

IndiGo Expat ATR Captains who were not yet line released were also sent home. Situation in IndiGo is not good for remaining ATR Expats and also local Pilots with mandatory pay cuts for all Crew members.

Economic, labour and health situation is worsening in India. Expats should keep themselves in the loop. So many stranded Expats and Tourists trying to leave the Country since April only.

Heard from reliable sources that the local Pilots are very close to forming an IndiGo Pilots Association/Union. They are fast tracking this initiative since the departure of Expats on the A320. The former Indian Airlines and Jet Airways Captains are very upset with the pay and working conditions at the ULCC that have deteriorated since the onset of the Pandemic.

Also a Class Action lawsuit is being prepared by a leading law firm to address several violations of Indian labour laws related to EPF and Gratuity Pay. Company HR/Payroll was caught in the act during an Audit of fraudulently manipulating Pay stubs in spite of a final ruling by Supreme Court of India.
