CAAC medical
Hello guys.
Right now I have the EASA medical class 1 and it's accepted with an heart murmur/aortic regurgitation. The only restriction i have is that i need ultrasound every second year.
I don't think its possible to pass the CAAC medical because of their requirements.
What do you think? Any with the same kind of problem?
Best regards
Emil

They'll probably make you do a 24hr Holter monitor (basically a 24hr ecg) and then make decision based on that.
If you have leave available and your chosen airline is paying your flight and accommodation I'd go for it.
Good luck.

Thanks for the answer. So do you think there is any opportunity to go through with the failure i have?
Otherwise my heart is fully normal and the aortic regurgitation is the "only" thing there is abnormal.

If I were you, I wouldn’t do it as eventually they will Fail you. You may pass the initial then 6 months later fail out. They will give you every heart test known in medicine once they get their hooks into you. Plan on a CT heart scan with radio active dye and every 6 months a 48 hour Holter and treadmill once a year along with an echocardiogram (color ultrasound) every 6 months. The stress and headaches you will go through is not worth it. All the best if you decide to give it a go. Try and relax as best you can while doing the treadmill test if possible as it helps you avoid double pre-starts.

I did the initial last few months and my candidate buddy failed the color test (Ishihara). He said in 15 years he never experienced any problems with color vision. They said he got the majority wrong from the book and there was no chance for him to pass a medical in China. Quite unbelievable really! They made me buy some glasses for a border-line weak right eye (I've been flying 18 years and never had any issues with eyesight). I was led to believe they weren't that hot on eyesight considering so many Chinese people have vision problems but turns out they are! So if you have any doubt about your eyes make sure your prescription is up to date.
