New Bali Air

Happy new year guys,

I’ve seen a couple of days ago a new application posting of an airline called New Bali Air. I sent them a message cause I was interested in the FO position sending my cv. They’ve replied me today with a bunch of info, prices (in USD) and a form. I saw the company website where you can’t even book a flight, too many aircraft models: A320, ATR 72-600, Bombardier, Falcon ... and no signs of LinkedIn or any worker... what do u think? Should I trust ?

Good time to start an airline as well, right in the middle of a pandemic with your operating base closed to tourists and one of your major markets (Australia) forbidding its citizens from travelling abroad.

No matter how desperate you are, hang onto your money. Realistically there are no opportunities for new pilots available at the moment, or likely to be any for the next few years. Unfortunately there is no shortage of scammers wanting to take advantage of the current situation.

Just for reference, my employer has let go 1/4 of flight crew and is currently well overstaffed in anticipation of having the correct number in 2 years time. IF they have got it right and need to recruit soon afterwards, they have 100+ pilots on the books who have priority for being re employed. Once those who want to return are back there will be hundreds of qualified and experienced crew unemployed and immediately available if they need anymore.

My advice: Find another job for the next few years but keep an eye on aviation and try to stay current until it picks up again.

I know we have long sunk into low low level of intellectual prior to my calling quits of aviation. But this one, is just plain dumb.

IF, you have to pay in ANY form of fees or money prior to your joining of the company, you should know you are one of the desperate AND naive idiots. I read in disgust of young punks justifying their race to the bottom by saying everyone is in for their own cause. Well, start getting real. The aviation future is gone for good, at least not for another decade before the next impending boom, that NEVER seems to ever come about.

What worries me at the slightest bit sipping coffee at my veranda here in my lovely own retirement home, is not the desperation, not even the stupidity, but just how simply idiotic some of these desperadoes are and these clowns will eventually make their way into some slimy LCC that sell hours and experience and letting them be at the pointy end of shinny tubes.

May I suggest you take a course or learn some Critical Thinking Skills.

You've been told over and over again what this is - yet you appear not to have understood anything people have said.

Great airline , you shouldn’t encounter any issues after payment. It’s not for those that are tight with cash
