Life in Jet Airways

I have cleared all the rounds for the Jet Airways Cadet Program and looking forward to working with the airline as a FO after I get over with my training in Pheonix. Before joining I wish to know about the work environment and quality of life of a pilot working there,
I hope this thread helps me out.

It is your first job, watch and learn, talk less. You will find all types here,The strict, the easy going,The non-crm,etc,,But any airline you go its not all clean and green.
It all depends how you flow in the system.Learn this early and you will be successful anywhere.

I am an ab-initio so I have not been through the process. You can apply from their site and they will send you the selection process. Must be similar to any other airline.

But Jet Airways is craving for expat captains with new 737-MAX coming up.
My friend a FO has been given a letter to complete 3k ASAP and go for command.
Good choice.

18 months ago was SIM in Bangalore, two Captains and pretty straight forward - EFATO, non-normals, briefings etc so looking at overall management, know within a couple of hours if pass/fail.
SIM apeared to be the interview.

Back to Mumbai for 2 days of pre-medical, India seems to concentrate on blood tests/liver function readings being "normal" or explainable and stomach ultrasounds, if any problems a diagnosis/assessment from a home country specialist may help the process.

If your looking at India SpiceJet now offering variety of on/off patterns so depends what you prefer in your lifestyle - time off or overtime, two very different styles of company with pro's and con's.
Cheers.

I was also a victim about their concern on Liver. Sounds stupid.
