Tips for CAAC ATPL Test

Hi all,

Can anyone help with some tips on passing the CAAC ATPLs please.

I am aware that there is an APP going but it's fairly steep at around £80!

Anything would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Mate best tip is get that app. They update it regularly and it will be your best friend. The cost is nothing compared to the inconvenience of coming back to do the exam again 30 days after you fail the first time, and guys are failing here every sitting. The cost is also about 5 minutes work once you start earning the dollars here. Well worth the investment.

Get the app and get the latest bank from your contract company, then study hard for a good month before you come. Don't come half assed. It's luck of the draw what questions you get on the day, everybody in the room gets something different and if you get the obscure ones you need to know (or recognise) what crap they are talking about. And there's lots of crap.

Yep Dauntless. They have a specific Chinese ATPL one now and update it regularly.

Yes. But just because you buy the APP and only use this app does not mean you will pass the exam as happens. Go to Scribd App, search and download all the CAAC book/question bank there too.

da

Do not use Dauntless!

I passed the CAAC ATPL exam last week. I paid the $100 to dauntless and got the app and it was riddled with discrepancies and wrong answers. Not only that only about 5 questions that dauntless had in their database were on the exam.

The website feizhiyi.com is a way better resources. Had I not been directed to this website and only used dauntless I would have surely failed the exam. The aforementioned website had way more questions in their database that were on my exam.

The only issue is that you have to navigate they website in Chinese. Once you have gotten past that hurdle their database of questions is Gold!

My best tip - don't bother studying anything until you've first passed the medical!

I don't have the database. I just navigated the site using google translate. Once you have a login navigate to where the questions are. At that point you need to turn off Google translate or the questions don't make sense. Once you have logged on a few times you will remember the locations of the links and be able to get there without using the translate.

I know it's a pain to get to the questions, but once you do it is well worth it.

Sat the exam a few days ago.

I prepped using Dauntless on iPad, notes from agency and downloads of CCAR 61, 91, 121 as well as the FAA ATPL (Gleim) notes. I had a pretty comprehensive spread of notes. In all paid about US$130 - well worth it.

The app on the iPad was invaluable as I could study anywhere any time. No, it's not perfect but without it I wouldn't have passed.

wrote the CAAC ATPL.

used dauntless and info the contractor provided. put simply dauntless was only about 30 percent on my test. the rest were pulled from somewhere else. Overall they were manageable after reading parts of the theory booklet for CAAC and using my previous aviation knowledge. frankly could of gone either way but was happy to pass with a decent score.
