Hainan roster and overnights accomodation
Hi gents
Is there anybody flying for Hainan on the A330? Would like to know what the rosters look like?
Another question, I understand that acc. contract / info from agency they pay no accomodation when in China, but housing allowance. Is that true? I guess for nightstopping out of PEK they do and for oversea anyway. Do they pay nightstop allowance?
cheers and nice weekend

Rosters?
Yes we go by the week here. HNA does not have a well trained scheduling staff and ATC in China does not help much with dramatic delays. Chinese military closes the airspace without prior notice as they keep preparing a war against Japan.
On the other hand HNA flight ops is a circus of leaders that are subdued by government and CAAC restrictions; A normal 6 hour return flight, turns into 12 or 16 hour duty day due several delays nationwide. Yes, we foreign pilots on the A330 fly domestic 85% of the month roster.
Accommodation?
Accommodation in HNA hotels is rather substandard; You sleep in barracks with ground staff, F/A's, Technicians, and in general with all co-workers in the same pathetic kind of a prison with no minibar, no sport facilities, not even an iron board to tidy up your uniform. Nighstop allowance? you have got to be kidding me, this airline fills your stomach with dried beef or pork, salt and sugar galore, maybe a yogurt from local dairy where pollution is rampant, so yes in essence that is your allowance.
The only three star hotel you will see with HNA is the Crowne Plaza hotel in PEK, where interviewers will make you believe HNA cares for their employees. I rather look for a job in the Kalahari desert selling lemons than to consider coming here. Factual information!

Sounds like the standard of accommodation is the same over most of the Chinese airlines then.
CSA hotels are mostly absolutely shocking bar 1 or 2 acceptable ones. They generally seem to find the worst hotel in the worst part of town and then immediately sign a contract with them. This is especially true in the US.
You then receive messages to 'be careful' when you leave the hotel as it can be dangerous 😫😫
No S&£T Sherlock 👍👍

Lemons or greenback?
@de facto,
You sound like the Albanians who went to Turkey and in disguise joined ISIL. They were offered big bucks to bring down Asad and the Syrian regime, the result, only nomads in no ones land, with their pockets full of dirty money but no life to live, as their original sponsors turned their back on them.
Sino-Anglo sympathy for HKG has withered, make sure your dream job is filled with fresh lemons that no money can buy; I think dignified" posting is about quality of life, which you have none, as anyone presently working in China will undeniable admit is probably making money without taste.
Would the money you claim to make attract more friends or family to your desolation? Insipid minds!
