BCA simulator screening
Greetings all, appreciate any beta from sim experience at BCA. Thanks in advance if anyone answers. I assume I will have only one marginal engine operating with dual hydraulic failure, no fcu, no a/p or flight director. Oh, and massive crosswinds, should be silly... : )

you do a company check ride then a CAAC check ride, expect either
1. dual hyd's, single eng', max x/wind to ils minimums
2. dual Rad' Alt fail, sinle eng', max x/wind to ils minimums (tricky)
3. dual FAC fail', single eng', max x/wind to ils minimums (tricky)
plus tcas gpws eng' fail V1 cut etc etc
all of this maybe with a new chinese FO with limited english and up to 5 people in the sim', translators etc
good luck

Pass or not? It depends about the SIM check instructor
For sure, there are quite a lot of troubles set, engine failure... But normally, all the captains could get a check profile about what contents will be checked, and a jeppson is available, so these foreign captains could prepare in advance;
There are two instuctors: one company instructor, one CAAC instructor. If the company instructor likes you, even if you didn't fly well in the simulator, the CAAC instructor probably would give you pass. So you shall be very polite in the simulator. No matter what the instructor says, just nod and say yes/ok. And try to fly as the instructor says
Have a good rest before the SIM check. Most checks take in the midnight. Better to contact your FO first, so when cooperate with him, he will be relaxed.
Good luck. Actually, pass or not depends on fortune. I met one Brazilian guy, he failed West Air, but succed in BCA.
