Didn't see another subsidiary coming so fast. One would have thought they would let their Singapore operation become sustainable, profitable and then move onto new ventures.

This is where they failed with Tiger. Moved onto way too many other new ventures (when they were still losing $$) and lost even more money. Good to see they have learnt from their mistakes

how many days should one wait for if he is successful in the skype interview and the online tests. its been almost a week but i havnt heard from them.. loosing hope nw..

They were supposed to have some Interview day for candidate in BKK.
last week a friend who was going got cancelled at last minute, like a few hours before! They sound V.Disorganized. As for Bond and Holiday I thought they haven't started flying yet but Bond probably pay half up front like Singapore Scoot deal. Check out the earlier thread about Fly scoot. Thought you were going to Thai Lionair, its not good?

Singapore-based airline transitioning fleet to 787 Dreamliners with 20 on orderSEATTLE, USA -- Boeing and Scoot today announced a five-year pilot training agreement to support the Singapore-based airline's fleet transition to 787 Dreamliners.
Under the agreement, Boeing Flight Services, a business unit of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services, will provide 787 flight training to Scoot pilots at Boeing's Singapore training campus. In 2014 alone, an anticipated 32 Scoot pilots will undergo training.
"We are proud to provide Scoot—a growing airline in a growing region—with the industry's best flight training as they add the 787 to their fleet," said Sherry Carbary, vice president of Boeing Flight Services. "Aviation opportunities—for airlines and pilots—are expanding rapidly in the Asia Pacific region, and we're pleased to offer a robust network of experienced instructors and training devices close to our customers across the region."
The 2013 Boeing Pilot & Technician Outlook, a respected industry forecast of personnel demand, projects a requirement for 498,000 new commercial airline pilots and 556,000 new maintenance technicians to fly and maintain the new airplanes entering the world fleet over the next 20 years. In Southeast Asia, 51,500 pilots and 64,700 technicians are needed to fill the gap.
"This is an exciting time for Scoot, as we expand our services throughout the Asia Pacific region, and work with Boeing for world-class flight training," said Campbell Wilson, Scoot chief executive officer.
Scoot will acquire 20 Boeing 787s beginning in late 2014. The airplanes were originally ordered by parent company Singapore Airlines. Scoot currently operates 777s on medium and long haul low-cost flights between Singapore and Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Tianjin, Shenyang, Nanjing, Qingdao, Seoul, Perth and Hong Kong.

Because although Boeing is providing it, Boeing bakes the cost of it into the price of the airplane and provides the airline with a certain number of seats on the training. If they use up a "free" one at Boeing and the pilot bails, they have to shell out for another...

Boeing are simply providing the training. Scoot are not a TRTO right.
You get offered a job at Scoot and Boeing do the Type conversion.
If there wasn't a Training agreement you could just join and FoX Oscar when you want. What the Scoot Bond is like I have no idea, whether its enforceable if you run I have no idea. As I said before the terms in the Bond can often be viewed as a way of helping you decide if the Company is half reasonable
and not full of useless HR Muppet's sucking up to the Boss.
