737NG FO PPC
Hello everyone! I'm looking for a little help here. I hold an Indian CPL and need to do a PPC somewhere. Rated on the 737 NG with an excess of 3000 hours on type. It's been just over a year since my last flight and I need to get current to apply for a new job. Everything else of mine is current, it's just that as I said I haven't flown in over a year, and my IR is not current anymore. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance, and safe flying everyone!!

Read this CAR to get an idea what you need to do to make the rating current again

You can approach CAE Bangalore or FSTC Gurgaon to get it renewed
P.S : If you have 3000 hours on 737 NG how come you havent flown somewhere for so long ? If you were medically unfit shouldnt your company be renewing it for you ?

Thanks Cyril, will check out FSTC Gurgaon. CAE Bangalore doesn't do the 737 training anymore...have to go to Dubai for that now. I'm medically fit, just been trying to get into GA for a while now. Don't seem to be any jobs out there at the moment(in general aviation at least). That's why I'm looking at getting current on the 737. Quikjet is hiring pilots and I need to have everything current to be considered for an interview!

Quikjet wont be getting a 737 NG . Most likely will be 737 300/400 Cargo
You should try and negotiate that you will do the IR renewal after getting a job offer
Have you considered applying at Jet Airways ?
I heard they are quite desperate for experienced 737 Pilots....

I know it's the classic they're planning to operate. Was thinking, as I wrote the last post, that I should ask them to interview me first and if successful I'd get everything current. Like I said not too interested in airline flying anymore...at least cargo ops are something different. Will look at jet if nothing else happens. More interested in flying a caravan or the likes!!
