Dear fellow pilots,
I have received from a well placed source some informations regarding Juneyao Airlines that are not so positive so I like to share them with you in order to better assess this job opportunity.
Juneyao Airlines is actually looking for skippers with 600 hours on the A 320; the airline is based in Shanghai, PRC.
While the money package sounds good, the terms and conditions are not so bright because the contract lacks of the commuting opportunity.
Anyway my source add much more concern.
It seems that the recruiting process is way too long, and also the training, leading in many cases to a total loss of around the 30 % of the projected total income planned for a three years contract.
Many experienced captains find themselves stucked in Shanghai for ridicously long line trainings without being allowed to have leave at all, because leave days starts only after final release for line operations.
Many bad rumors also about the quality of the training and the general attitude inside the airline.
If it is true, this would not be an option at all for experienced A 320 skippers. I hope someone can confirm or deny this rumors or add more informations.

CRJ

Has anyone have an input about the CRJ contract and the training lengths or is it the same miserable experience as the BUS drivers?

Hello krynscaland. Here there was another thread with the same title, but now it has been closed.
Anyway anyone that like to share his experience with this airline is welcomed because I think is important to have the best picture around before making some important decision regarding his own career path.
Please if all the people that have written something on this issue, on behalf of moderators, could repeat it here are welcomed. It would be usefulif the discussion can be without generic wordor any sentence that can be harmful aganst the airline if there is no proof of that.
Kind regards.

Thread was closed as it was entirely dominated by the same person making multiple new sign ups.

Thank you very much for the information regarding the reason for closing the thread. Nevertheless, a you may understand, maybe there are some issues with this airline but people may be afraid for consequences. I propose thatif anyone working there is reading just make one subscription to pprune if they have not yet one, and in a precise and polite way just outline the issues with the airline.
I know that this is a professional pilot rumor forum, but often where you have rumors you have also some problem: the chinese market is growing but in western world we have little or no experience at all regarding the life down there.
I hope my proposal can be acceptable also by moderators.
Happy landings.

No problem discussing the airline or this thread would have been closed as well.

Fairly simple I would have thought?

Why no news to share ?

Hello. It seems to me that the question posed by ToraTora is very interesting. In these gray days, at least in the european market, would be very nice to have some informations about some airline situated in the Asian Tiger. I understand that it seems by the recruiter advertisements that most of them are desperate for pilots. It obviously can be true or not, and anyway a good inside deep look to terms and conditions is an important information; also the commuting contract would be a great benefit to be properly assessed in order to make any important choice regarding our career. Hope someonje can give further details.
Regards.

Juneyao Terms and Conditionbs.

Hello. I have managed to contact a fellow captain that is now flying for Juneyao based in Shanghai. I should be able to answer some of the questions posed here. So please make all the questions you want to know about. For the time being I can tell you for sure that there is no commuting contract available and it seems also that it is not easy to have the annual leave in the personal desired periods.

2015 T&C Juneyao

I'm looking at the 2015 T&C's for Juneyao. They now say you go to full pay if your IOE goes beyond 150 days for Company reasons. The could still fail you on purpose to keep you on low pay I suppose. They are getting one aircraft per month so is that likely? I'd guess not.

The ground school payment is only $7000/$9000 for CAAC licence holder/non-holder. How long does the ground school last? If I do my CAAC check prior to joining am I a licence holder or non-holder, how does that work?

Any up to date tips or advice would be welcome!

Don't go juneyao

I know...the lies all the time, a lot of punishment and they stop your salary when they want....a lot of company hire in china, but juneyao is really the worst.

For my experience, if you want go in shanghai, go spring... Beijing, Beijing capital....

All is written here about juneyao is true....
