This is incase you skip without finishing your bonded period. If you leave early you need to pay out out remainder of your bond AND the remainder of the company's.

As per my previous post has anybody heard back from Scoot in the last few months?
I'm used to getting a "no thanks" after an initial application but to be ignored after doing an online assessment is a bit rude.

Has anyone heard back regarding online testing a few months ago?

One thing foreigners must understand is like every other company owned by Sg, it is run by your typical Sg HR with the cost first Sg mindset, and Unfortunately this HR is "not the best" like what slayerdude mentioned. U pay peanuts u get peanuts is the saying.

From people I know, Pay technically IS one of the highest in the SEA region (SQ and MI aside) but Singapore is also BY FAR the MOST expensive place to stay in. With family and kids, and wife not working, unless you do it the Sg way, going public schools, eating at coffee shops, expect to barely even save at all as a expat Fo. That said, Single guys are gonna be fine.
"you pay peanuts, you get monkeys" is the saying...

I got a rejection email after doing the online test. That was back in early October.

Sorry to hear you didn't make it chronos. From pilotchute's post above, it sounds like he did his online assessment back on Christmas eve and has been cooling his heels in Vietnam without a word back ever since

Orchard Towers in Orchard Road is known as the “4 floors of whores”. It’s a slightly run down shopping centre with an unusually high number of bars which come alive at night with women from all over Asia plying their trade. An attractive young lady from Vietnam or Thailand can easily earn the equivalent of a months pay back home in one or two nights. Visa free travel for ASEAN nations and low cost airlines make a two week visit very easy, during which time they could possibly earn a years income

Hey Guys,

I hope you're all doing well.

I just like to ask for some information about the current interview Questions? What to expect ? And in this interview, do they let you finish the whole assessment days and tell you Passed or Failed, or its an elimination process as day goes?
Whats the Sim profile like for those applying as DEC ?

Looking forward to your information.

Happy Flying,
DC

Avoka,

I did my online 30th Jan. (result was out in 8 days- email)
it was a standard, same same Psychometric exam. No right or wrong answer, as you try to build your own personality. Picking the best that suits your character.

There's one exercise, I forgot what its called, but its all about Shapes and you have to fill in the "?" box with the right shape to complete the Pattern.

Most challenging part was the MULTI Tasking test. You try to Land Planes on a Strip of runway, you move the Runway using the Mouse pad while holding the left button key. And While doing the Landings on the left part of the screen, On the right Half of the screen its divided into two section. A right upper quadrant is a Mathematical exercise(Addition, Subtraction and mixed with answers) all you have to do is Click CORRECT or WRONG. On the Right bottom quadrant is a series of Letters- the task is to click Correct or Wrong if there are 2 Same Letters in that given Row. ( Multi tasking test - they're probably gathering data, to prove that its stilll Safe to Operate planes while reading the Morning Newspaper currency exchange and answering the crossword puzzle of the day )

Tip: Read the Instruction carefully, and don't skip the Examples of each exercise.

DC

STAY AWAY,
2 of my mates that did the Psychometric exam late last year with scoot-- recently asked me if I wanted to go to the circus.. I said yes-I like clowns... they said go scoot HR office... full of clowns. IMHO we shouldn't insult clowns with the HR morons in scoot.
My mates and a few others(friends of friends) have been waiting for weeks for an acknowledgement of their applications, for some its been 2 months... most have moved on.. tired of being strung and waiting around... Scoot HR smart at losing potential candidates.
Guys in Scoot are also leaving now... albeit in trickles... fed up with what is happening at scoot.... rubbish pay, rubbish roster, rubbish lifestyle.... and of course rubbish HR.... better paying jobs in the region that give you a better lifestyle.
Scoot had some survey given to pilots... All that I say here .... Scoot knows... yet nothing has change and nothing will change as along as the incompetent HR stays around... to drive out potential and present crew out!!!!!
It would seem that the Flt Ops mngt guys in scoot are good bunch according to guys in scoot.... Think they have tried to make life better in scoot but constantly been stonewalled by HR morons.
So guys nothing has changed.... stay away...suggest we close this thread as there won't be any improvement.
The Scoot gig is a dead gig..... unless you get an answer from them.

Im sorry for your mates. HR should have at least told them that they failed the assessment.
but this HR is not alone..... the biggest airline in the middle east does that too. And when you do their online application, after submission, a fine note says that if you dont hear from them after 6 weeks. The Application has been rejected.
Dont expect a phonecall.... just move on.

so slayer, are you scoot or not ?
