hello, well are you starting on your initial training or a type training ??
It all depends on your nationality, you said India and south east. India i head indigo is expanding but India already has a lot of unemployed pilots so probably wont be a wise idea.
South east, you have more of a chance if you a national here. so if you are a south east Asian national go for it, as soon as you finish your cpl you will get a job, if not go get a degree and then see how it all pans out

good luck with your dreams.
A word of advice.
Whatever you do, DON"T pay some airline for the opportunity to fly for them. You are only shooting yourself, and the profession in the foot over the long term.
This P2F cancer must be removed from the industry

In retrospect as well.. airlines need to look hard at their recruitment and training strategies and incorporate a meaningful cadet program for their hiring process. Especially with people who are CPL holders. Ones that let aspiring pilots have the opportunity to do it with a reasonable requirement and be well compensated for it. Most importantly let there be sense of ownership with their airline.
Crazy_bird, I, with you, have the same dream. Good luck, its never too late to start!
