Just had a couple of guys telling me the HR guy is trying to offer them some pittance of a deal, not sure about the operating procedures but just be careful not to go directly with them.

That may have been last year, paramount changed the terms in Jan. What was told to me was a flat $120/hr x the number of hrs u fly and THATS IT!! Zero Basic, Zero sector allowance... Ridiculous, but maybe there are some who might take it, sad what this job has come to

Not that i'd take it... but 120/hr doesn't seem all that bad to me but depends on where you're coming from i.e is it for capt/FO, are you experienced/non etc?? If experienced plenty of better options, I agree in the likes of China, ME even Vietnam Airlines (understand the door closed for FO but still possible for Capt)
Based on 80hrs, 120 x 80 = $9600 per month and based on a more modest 60 = $7200. Paying all salary as flt/duty pay is nothing new... just look at Ryanair and Easyjet(Flexicrew) in Europe. Must remember to look at the cost of living also compared to, Singapore, Hong Kong even the developed cities in China i.e Beijing, Shanghai.
However for me, sometimes there's more to life than just money... when i asked a colleague (who's eager to move on) about another airline recruiting recently, he replied.... 'No way, I have a family man!'

Paying a flat rate sounds like they dont know how much flying you will do, so they dont have to pay anything if you stuck on the ground.
it sound like another Dumb HR dept that think they are smart.

Hello Fellow aviators,
I would like to join the vietjet A320 cadet program. Can somebody pass me the contact details of paramount please. I am an indian CPL holder in the process of obtaining my 320 type rating... Thank You

Has anyone got more info regarding the new contract agency? Apparently there are a couple lined up and according to a buddy, offering the same as the Airline!! And with the new aircrafts coming i believe they will need crew desperately, but are people so desperate that they'll accept such terms??
short flights long nights
Just how many Indian CPL holders, that have payed for an A320 type rating are there? They seem to be everywhere.
And ny info is they don't run a cadet programme, I could be wrong of course.

Same contract as Paramount, You get a base pay plus fifty hours flight pay plus pay for 25 sectors. Guys are flying 90+ hours a month. So extra pay anything over 50 hour and over 25 sectors. I'm not to sure about the cadet pay

Dont pay for type
They donīt take anymore cadets in. Do not pay for typerating without a job guys, its waste of money. There is coming 4 new planes, but 3 of them are wet leased and there are already lots of pilots waiting for their line trg to start. You need at least 500h on type to get even an interview. Only if you are vietnamise citizen you may have a chance, but you are probably indian so dont waste your time and money for this.

Hey Hornet Drvr, Are you working there now? I saw from your previous posts it looked like you worked at Air Mekong. Are you back in the States flying a RJ for the regionals? or did Vietjet pick you up? I don't recall any other Americans other than a few Viet Q other than myself here. Whats so bad about it? The only difference between VNA and Vietjet is
1.Younger more friendly cabin crew at Vietjet
2.As a Captain you can make more at Vietjet than VNA
3.Changing schedules every day normal stuff in Vietnam
4.VNA you can have a crew meal every leg if you want
5.The only bad is a self funded insurance if you go through Paramount.
6.MX, I have had more MELs in the States than here in Vietnam.
You don't have the FAA breathing down your neck to write up every stupid little thing.
If you are out here and you don't like it leave! Im sure you will make more money flying in the States with ASA I believe all you guys came from, might be wrong though.
