WASINC - Baa?
Hello,
Does anyone have any info about WasInc and in particular their Bussiness Aviation Asia contracts in China?
I'm looking at the CRJ contract there and would appreciate some more information.
Thanks much,

Not asking to be typed and with rather tame total time requirements I guess the will be flooded with applications soon.
Then again the salary isn't that great, especially on the "smaller" (medium) biz jets.

Why don't you ask them yourself...
WASINC International
What is it with young pilots these days that they are too lazy to do the spading themselves.
As for the agency, they are like any other...happy to get you onboard and ignore you from then on...

wasinc = bad news
wasinc is bad news. there are plenty of other agencies out there that don't scam people.
wasinc are great talkers and will give you a warm fuzzy on the phone but will cheat you and take your money given the opportunity.
take it from somebody who has been here long enough to have been personally stiffed by wasinc and met many other pilots in china who also got unfair treatment from wasinc. they pretend to be on your side but actually they are not and will leave you hanging. ask around when you see other pilots at your medical check or interview or go down to some bars in shekou shenzhen where all the shenzhen pilots hang out and ask for some stories about wasinc.
you have been warned... there are other choices out there and any company that tells you that "they are the only one that have this contract" are lying - there are many other contract agencies recruiting for every airline and charter company in china. wasinc will collect between $500-$700USD per month as a service fee from the airline for recruiting you. they say they will provide service and support but actually in some cases they will steal money that is owed to you saying the airline never paid them. some foreign pilots are going directly to chinese companies now without a middle man scammer to steal money from you. whenever you have a question about pay or anything wasinc will direct you to the airline anyway so they are useless.
my recommendation - if you are interested in any job in china - search for that job and you will find several other agencies recruiting for the same job. then do some research on the recruiting agency. once you goto china you will be locked in and can't freely change airlines. if you end up stuck with a deadbeat recruiting company like wasinc you won't be able to freely "change" to fix your mistake.

this is a really hostile, character assasinating-type letter. you should know the agency has no pull or little pull with the chinese. they can mediate certain things. others they get ignored...as far as accusations of out right stealing money....think you should offer proof or withold the allegations....which is more wise for a grown man to do? just chalk it to experience and move on...leave it behind? or denigrate people on a chat board....just to be fair...glad you're not on my jury..i'd be executed
heck no i don't work there.. just believe in fairplay and honor

I'm afraid he is just calling a spade a spade. There may not be a smoking gun for the allegations but the truth is there. It is just masked in smoke and mirrors. You don't need a broker other than to help you when you first arrive and any of them can do that.
Wasinc deserve a little pressure they have really shafted the pilots they supposedly represent at SZAir anyway.
Now they will represent pilots to HKA which you don't even need a broker to go work for them.
I would never recommend using Wasinc unless as a last resort.

In four years on a contract with Wasinc I never failed to receive the money due to me. I thought they did the best they could with circumstances as they arose. If the airline you are under contract to decides to withhold pay there isn't much Wasinc or any other agency can do besides talk to the operator.
Having said that BAA will hire you directly and I have heard nothing but good things about their operation.

WASINC - Baa?
If you want to work for BAA, apply directly. WASINC is not a professional company to deal with. They are very friendly and nice in the beginning, but there will be no on site support. They have also been known the withhold the last pay cheque of contracts.

The Wasinc way? No way
I had a contract with Wasinc, I had to leave a chinese airline because of the antipathy by the local pilots and training captains who made my position clearly impossible to continue. I am now in a very difficult position as I can not work now for any other Chinese airline because of the way the situation was handled, even though I have a Chinese licence and release letter and love China! I worked hard to get to my position at the airline, and I felt like I was let down by Wasinc as they have just abandoned me. Like all others have said here, they talk the talk at the beginning? They also took $6000 off me when I left the contract.
