Not sure if they are recruiting expats at the moment? im just guessing you are one. But they do have a few. Recently recruited some local captains. They are expanding but I have no idea of their manpower requirements. Salary as a Captain around RM28000k take home after taxes and provident fund. So I've been told. Flying around 80 hours a month. A fair number of
nightstops. usually 24 hours.

Not sure how much flying the FO's do there now. A while back they were sometimes making less then Air Asia 320 FO's as were flying less.
Sounds like no Changes if Take home for Capt 28000 rm.

nothing will change with these guys.. Go somewhere else if you are a expat..
airasia management look at pilots as expensive commodity, when Capt and FO is not respected.
As few years ago.. Airasia X cabin crew was earn more than FO.. you never see TONi give praise to his pilots not even a picture in his flight magazine only to his mistresses FA..

I knew 1 Foreign 320 TRE who was offered 330 at X. As they are different Companies even though under the Group umbrella he had to be terminated from Air Asia and reemployed by Air Asia X.
That is to do with Immigration and Work permit issue. It also meant his Bond was cancelled with Air Asia so he left to somewhere else before signing up with X. That was a while ago though. I suspect they learn t from that.

Unfortunately I made a big Mistake joining that Lot from another Airline. You can take that anyway you want albeit certain Management there I look forward to Meeting in a Dark alley one day.

Few things on the salary.
Cost of living in Malaysia is cheap with the exception of car ownership (they pile taxes on good cars to protect the pieces of shaitt that they build locally)
It is also not suitable for families as local schools are shockingly bad and getting worse, international ones are expensive and getting more expensive.
However, accommodation, utilities, food etc are all rock bottom compared to other capital cities with reasonably OK standard of living.
28,000 MYR will go further than you think and a lot further than it would in EU, Gulf, SIN, HKG etc
Income tax for airline crews is looming this coming Jan, it has been postponed by the gov for the last couple of years due to airline lobbying and currently crews pay single digit % taxes; this will increase to 26% once you are feeling the full weight of it.
