Hour Building

hey!

I'av been considering to become a pilot for a really long time now.
The only thing holding me back right now is the fear of not getting a job.
I know hour building is required, but piston engine hours aren't generally recognised by airlines.
I am an Indian National living in Dubai. How would you reckon Emirates's and Alpha Aviation Academy's pilot training courses?
Also, regaring building hours, in your opinion, what is the best way of doing it? Are carriers in India taking in guys fresh from the academies or is the job scene still shyte ?

I am in a really big state of confusion right now and all constructive comments would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!

The only thing holding me back right now is the fear of not getting a job.
This fear will likely stay with you for most of your professional life, should you choose to join our ranks. The job scene in India remains shyte (sic), if my old friends there are to be believed. No guarantee it will stay that way, but if we're talking present tense...

If you choose to become a pilot, I suggest you do so first and foremost out of a love for the job and not a false perception of the career. The reality of the situation is that you can (and most likely will) find yourself without gainful employment sometime in the future.

At Emirates, you pay 545,000/- AED and land up with a frozen ATPL that will most likely remain a frozen one until you log a couple hundred hours of jet time.

There's enough about Alpha Aviation in the Middle East forum so search there for answers...
