HELLO EVRYBODY!
@ itsbrokenagain
@ Spencer, Prop.time & others
Gentlemen, I am a social person; that is the reason I have this forum up here for others to notice and to contribute their insights which will help everybody . So lets keep it open and no need for the secrecy and Private messaging.
My apologies as I've been busy at work too.
.. and yes I received the mail which is why the forum is here in the first place.
For everyone else:
A certain PM suggests that "...Original "Transcripts" + Validation usually takes a good month from a govt. university. So thats quite out of bounds"
So what do other applicants reckon for those who are not in possession of "UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPTS" .
Thanks everybody. ( & I hope I dint offend anybody; forgive me if I did as that wasn't my intention. )
Lets keep up the good work at PPRUNE
- No, its not necessary to possess "University transcripts" after completion of a degree. I do have my mark-lists and certificate from University and college though.
- Google wont help me with the process about certain Indian universities.
- I have contacted my college and in addition I thought the general population on PPRUNE wouldn't mind helping an undereducated friend(s) instead of professing over them with their worthless banter which helps nobody.

I did apply in the month of december 2011 fpr the CPP..... unfortunately no reply yet..........However,i did see a post in which someone mentioned that Cathay has stopped recruiting international cadets, who have less than 250 hours as per the directive of Hong Kong immigration dept (HKID)............very wierd though!!!.........and the guy who mentioned the post seemed to be very confident.............hmmm now thats sad coz i just have barely 20 hrs short ........Cathay has never mentioned it on their website........
@cloudripper
when did u apply for the CPP and when did u get the email?........do u have more than 250 hours?........

unlike SIA, Cathay does not hire Indians... the only few "Indians" in CX are either Canadian or British citizens.
And the last time I checked, I wasn't British or Canadian.

Never mind. I just found it out from their website.
To be considered for a flying career with us you must:
Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
Be physically fit and qualify for a Class I Medical
Meet flight deck reach requirements which is subject to a functional reach test
Have completed secondary school and have good passes in mathematics and science, or have a degree or diploma, or have passes in all ATPL subjects

I don't think it would be required as such ! But mate the A320 type rating may be an asset as they also operate the A330's and the A340's ! Lets see how it goes !
