Thumbs up What books are you referring to?

Hey guys, second attempt for NAV COMP this time. I am dazzled as to what book to refer for NAV, as far as the DGCA spitted syllabus goes, I am trying to follow it, but its taking me nowhere.

I need help from you fine gentlemen who have tasted DGCA.

Thanks in advance.

I'm referring to GSPs - Navigation, Radio Aids and Flight Planning. Keith William's question bank too. Attempted Navigation in the last round for the first time. Read only the GSPs and got 66.

Those books are really good and get those if you can because they'll help you later too.

Question

hey guys, i had registered on udaan.nic through the old candidate registration process and found tht after the registration theyve cut out my first name and made my middle name as the first one. I tried getting in touch with them through phone and they asked me to email them instead regarding this. I have emailed them twice regarding the name change to [email protected] to which i have got no replies. Any one else in a similar situation or suggestions??

Study Material

Hello All,

Having gone through number of threads, I have not got the answer to one basic question.
What is the source of study for all 3 DGCA ATPL papers?
I am going through Oxford books and mostly the question papers in the end.
GSP is good but its kinda late to read them for the coming up Feb attempt i guess.
Anything else? Keith Williams? Are these only question banks? for all subjects in one book or i would have to get 4 books for Met, Nav, Radio and Instruments?
Should these be enough?
If anyone wants to suggest any other book, it would be appreciated if mentioned the source for the same

if u want to study for atpl i'll suggest u oxford book for nav, radio and instrument only for theory part....like if u want to know the topic but if u want to just clear the xam then just go through keith williams question bank.......
as far as i know that radio aids question bank is not available in keith williams so have to study radio questions from oxford only or u have to study the book......
and for met read the I C JOSHI and do all the question which is given at the end of the chap.......
that will clear ur atpl........

I have not yet publshed a book for Radio Aids, but I am currently working on one. It wil be available in about three months or so.

If you cannot wait three months for the new book, the Radio Aids QA&E are available on my Interactive CD which covers all 14 of the JAR ATPL exam subjects. You can get this free with any of the UK-produced 1000 QA&E books from Stirling Books House Mumbai, or as a separate product from the same source.

ATPL Navigation

Hello everyone,
It would be great if people who have appeared for Nav ATPL paper could shed some light on types of question asked in NAV ATPL paper,
mainly under the Mass and Balance section, type of numerical asked on M&B, calculation of CG
Also performance based questions.
Not exactly but just a rough idea

need help

simple problems but need an explanation for the following how to solve it..

1) aircraft requires headwind comp of at least 10knts and crosswind limit of 35knts. the angle between the wind direction is 60 deg. calculate maximum and min allowable wind speeds?

2) after take off you can accept upto 10knts of tail wind. the runway QDM is 047, the var is 17deg E and the atis gives wind direction 210 what is the max wind strength you can accept?

3) magnetic hdg 311 deg ,
drift 10deg left
relative bearing of NDB270
what is the magnetic bearing of NDB measured from the aircraft?

Has anyone received any email confirming the exam dates?
As of now I have got my roll no in my inbox. Should I expect to get an email regarding date or the dates listed on dgca site are confirmed and final?
