Spicejet had selected only first batch of 18 candidates from January exam.
And there are candidates who have cleared the interview but still have not been called for joining..... They are on hold for now for indefinite period. Also out of 18 from first batch only 8 have gone for TR and others are waiting for slots. So any chance for a new written for freshers this year seems to be out of question for now.

BAD NEWS
Sorry to say but I am in touch with a very senior Pilot who happens to be my Uncle ( very close ) asked him about the rumor going on that SJ is taking exam in aug or later this year he told me SJ is already over staffed big tim 
I could have been is the 18 people ur talking about but my brothers if
I had passed my written.( my fault i did not study much depended too much on my uncle)
to Kill KF market fully all airline over staffed
Hope God sends a ray of hope for all of us. and proves me and my uncle wrong.

Absolutely true there were 36 candidates selected from jan. exam divided into 2 batches 18 each of first batch only 8 went for rating still 10 from first batch is waiting..after that another 18..
SJ hired 40 P2 from KFA ATR & put them on Q400..So very lean chances that there would be any more Attempt this year BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WITH SJ...still if you get selected would be long wait till you go online...
Fingers crossed hope KFA works again at least after Bharat Bhusan exit..

Really doubt jugadjet !!! Even if they open up on 737 i really doubt that there is going to be any genuine recruitment . Anyways just out of curiosity whats the number of rated pilots on 737 at the moment ?

SG has sent 2 a/c to Jeddah on wet lease to NAS Air, and have also bid for Hajj flights from September to operate out of Lucknow, Jaipur & Srinagar. Looks like the a/c are under utilized as of now. Hence the move to keep the a/c occupied.

seems a rumour again..
as far as i have info (from a reliable source in spicejet) , there is still a batch waiting to sign contract with company and out of 18 who signed contract, only 8 have left for type rating and SG is already having 13 operational q400s (only 2 more to join) and they got adequate number of first officers for the same as they are operating normally. now my question is if they are gonna hire again for q400 then what would happen to those 36 guys who will be type rated soon ..
so guys there is not gonna be any recruitment in spicejet in near future and even if it happens its gonna be to collect 25000 dd( may be they will make it 50000 this time)
still best of luck to those who get call for exam ( if it took place)..

Spicejet non type rated 31st Jan 2012 attempt
Hey guys any idea when rest of the Spicejet non type rated joining will happen (those who got recruited in Spicejet in 31st Jan 2012 attempt). as per my information from spicejet HR 54 got selected & 22 have joined.(and rest is still waiting including me) Kindly revert .cheers

Guys any news on SJ's backlog for q400 guys?How many are waiting in the que for the q400 induction?for guys who have been inducted,does SJ pay for the TR or is it self sponsered?Any input will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!1

1. Severe Backlog.
2. 20 L upfront for training. 12 lakhs (PDated Cheques) as bond for 3/4 years.
3. 20 K will be deducted from your salary every month for 3/4 years.
No I dont fly for spice. I know some one who has joined exactly in the terms mentioned above on their Qs.
