The candidates from the previous TR exam in February who cleared interviews are still waiting on sim checks. From what I heard there won't be any new type rated exam for a few months at least till the present massive backlog is cleared.

hey guys, can someone please tell me
1:The topics to study and where to study from, for the type-rated exam.
I heard it was 60 marks for 320 systems(all from fcom1) and the rest a combination of HF and cpl stuff.
2.When is the next type-rated exam is expected?
Thanks

1.Fcom 1: A lot of questions from Fcom 1, they won't ask you straight forward questions but all the twisted ones, so heavy on systems, if you wanna score good. (Many from powerplant then hydraulics, flight controls and rest were all balanced).
2. FCTM: Some 2,3 questions were there from FCTM
3. General Performance: Some 7,8 questions on ASDA etc and V speeds
4. A320 Performance: Around 5,6 questions on flex temp, flex max and performance degradation.
5. Human Performance: A lot of questions, I prefer reading all the sample papers from Oxford rather than going for a full theory.
6. Met: Very few questions from Met.
7. Reg: Around 6 to 7 questions on lights from ground and air, cabin crew requirement, time for fever and etc.
*Note:
1. Don't rely completely on smart cockpit, it won't do any good until and unless you study from Fcom1 and test yourself on smart cockpit (there are some wrong answers in smart cockpit).
2. While reading all the Fcom's make sure you read the "*Note" part properly.
Good Luck and Study Hard

This question concerns pay for DEC:
I received a package about Indigo from one of the agencies. The pay added up to 13500 USD but your bring home after taxes was 9017USD.
That seems like quite a high tax rate, and I'm sure as a expat you don't get any free services from India for paying all that tax
Any current DEC's that could shed some light on this.Otherwise the package looked pretty good

Intruder,
Tax rate in India is 33.3% and what you get for it is a tax certificate. As a expat in India your tax bracket is higher (with IRS) and you can furnish tax certificate to IRS and you will not pay any taxes in the US. Yes, it doesn't make sense for an expat to come to India for such low money when you can move to China and make twice the money.

Nothing IGO will not be taking anyone on... They have an over supply of pilots.
In the future when they need people again someone will make a decision if to look at the candidates that applied in the past or to start again.
I would not be surprised if the deal with CTC changes, so that if you are selected you are not offered a contract of employment. But some other deal so the airline is not committed to you.
