Zav Air - North East, Never took off.

Star Air - Some Dubai or Gulf based charter operator was going to start it this regional with Maran's......

Akashganga - Never heard about this one.

Luan - Surat based regional ...not Baroda based. They asked for CV's for F/O's sometime in 2009/2010...lately haven't heard about them either.

Only Regional right now operating from India is Jagson,Its too in very bad shape right now.

Do not know about others but Akashganga has ordered EMB 145 and they have been extending this import order since last year.

They are operational or not and if they are to what extent that is again a doubtfull question, but yes they have asked for the permission to import one emb 145 since last year.

There's this new start up called Air Dravida from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Heard that they'll be hiring CPL holders soon via ads. They had big plans for S.India. Last month they were in the process of a/c acquisition. Try them for a chance.

The first time i heard about Air Dravida was back in 2005 when all the papers were anouncing the big boom in aviation .
There was also an airline called MAGIC AIR that was supposed to start up but i guess that didnt happen

guys dont believe an airline will start till u see its a/c doing a flt.... promoters float news then wait for investors. its all happened in the past and will do so in the future.. there was a story back in 2004 how a chap floats an airline ad for pilots started a office collected fund of 7 lacs from Cpl holders for training cost and then disappeared ..

if CPL holders are paying for training costs then they deserve to get taken and dont deserve to be pilots...poor judgement.

This is the only industry in the world where idiots will pay to apply, pay for their own training, pay for their own way to the interview, and pay for their own hotel in training.
Its no wonder why we are paid sh^& and treated like Sh^&.

Ha ha ha good they deserve to be out of that money. idiots

Air Dravida

Nothing really happening with AirDravida the directors are saying that they'll take off by April with 5 no CRJ200 a/c...... based in Chennai and brain behind the company is Mr.Iyer who was the sole person responsible to run East west airline in the 90s....

only time can tell the position of the company ...at the moment i cant tell
