Vietnam airlines

Does anyone know if Vietnam Airlines are recruiting for the 777.

Could someone forward the terms and conditions for FO 777 and what route network one could expect.

Vietnam

they offer upgrades on seat and type, but it costs, you have to pay for the cost of the training and undertake a bond, they are not taking anyone on the 777 for the moment, 320/330 are the big areas at the moment.

Gday Mate,

No widebody upgrades on the triple at VNA, depending on circumstances, some expat widebody f/o's are given the opportunity to upgrade on the A320.

Bare in mind, you work 6/2, get a hat, C class ticket, good salary, meal and a bag, all whilst living the dream in the big V. Despite being in the right seat, it is still one of the best contracts going.

So, I am just getting started in this contract flying thing. I am working with a company trying to get on with Vietnam Airlines. They are wanting a 30,000$ bond. Is this normal and if so how do you go about getting that? Thanks in advance.

Current and qualified on type is the norm, if you are not current and qualified, you will have to sponsor yourself, that's what it sounds like, what is your situation?

We need more information to answer your question.

I am currently flying on the CL-65 RJ-900. I have around 8000 TT. 3000 PIC mostly all on the RJ. No other trype ratings. So now I have been in contact with Rischworth Aviation and they say i need a 30,000 training bond, contract is for 3 years. Right seat 777 Vietnam Airlines. Sounds like this is normal but how do you go about doing it. Call the bank and just say I need a 30,000 bond please. Thanks for helping.

Ball dude,

you know what an airline bond is?
You need to pay them 30000 IF and only IF you dont finish the 3 year contract.
This is to avoid people getting a rating and leaving shortly after.
Dont need to call your bank.
Thanks for the laugh though

vna are looking for a lot of 320 pilots. yes, they offer upgrades. there is no question about this which might be why so many of the f/o's with less one year time with vna act like they are the captain and treat the veteran captains with such disresptect.

i've never worked with so many rude and ignorant people that so many of the new expat f/o's are. rude rude rude, that all i can say.

Prisoner Number 320, maybe you need a couple of Jetstar Pacific f/o's to jump the fence, for the extra $1800 a month, secure job, staff travel, crew meals, free coffee and potential for a command, we would quite happily respect the vets!!!...

Your contract agency should be able to assist you with the bond questions.

New crews are being based in Hanoi now, a very nice city.

Cheers, D.L.

Can anyone shed some light on the 777 pilot pay in Vietnam? and do they upgrade FOs to the left seat? If yes then when?..
I have 4500+ hrs on the 777 but still sitting on the right seat.

777 pilot T&C's are freely available from the various agencies

They do not upgrade right to left on the widebodies. As many posters have previously said, they do upgrade expat F/O's but it's all been on the A320 and I would be very surprised if that policy changed.
