It is quite impossible to get any info on anything over there. People for whatever reason are hesitant to asnwer any questions. I had my parents over there trying to get info regrding flying jobs, but they said people tell them stupid things like oh for security reasons we can not tell you anything.
My parents seem to think it's more like they don't want competition, so they don't want to help you. I grew up there and thats just how things work over there people in proper seats mostly wanna make sure those seats are secure for this own family.

I see they are looking for ATR drivers on Climb350 - I was thinking about sending in a application. Come on people, surely somebody working there can tell me if it is a least a good company to work for or not? Is it even worthwhile sending in an application?

Grrr

I don’t know what your experience was but I will tell you mine.

-Yes they are looking for pilots. They NEED them bad!
-1 ATR72 and 1 310 on property
-The pay...what a f..ing joke. I went there for an ATR job, and was offered 3250USD a month (ATR FO) w so called free housing, which happens to be some 3 star dump hotel located not far from the airport
-I told them there is no way I am moving from paradise to work in DAC for the amount they offering
-When I was leaving, I ran into CA who landed that day, went straight to the office and quit!
-The way they figure out the pay is 60% of the CAs pay
CA-310=7000 MD=6000 ATR=5000
-Most trips are out and back, 50/night per diem if happen to lay over
-They brought in mechanics from Indonesia and one guy from Germany. So that was nice

The place is making money. And they seem to be doing better than GMG. The CA I spoke with said he always got paid...not the same can be said for GMG
I took the CAAB exam...that was a joke
I had to pay for my own ticket up there....but they paid me back in cash 2 days later
The place was extremely disorganized lacked sense of efficiently!
Told me to expect about 80-90 hrs of flight on the ATR

Here is the thing they need to realize...IF they want to attract qualified pilots they need to open up their wallets

Good luck to anyone who wishes to join!

ATR pilots

I heard that there are someone else interested in opening business with ATR in Bangladesh, but it´s going to be very very hard to get pilots (TRE/TRI, FO) if they don´t offer more money.

Does someone have more info about new start-up airlines in there??

So what's the deal? With this updated package, does anyone here think it's even worth working for these guys? Do they pay you on time?

Yes they pay!....on time? not from the CA i spoke with.
When you go to visit DAC for your law exam, everything will become CLEAR to you. The money they are offering is not worth living in that dump

United Airways BD

This company is about as bad as it is possible to get. Expat crew are treated very badly. The company never pays salary on time. The accommodation provided is a slum infested with cockroaches and other vermin. The management lie constantly and they wonder why people are leaving! In an average month around three or four expat pilots leave.....they just book a ticket and disappear never to be seen again.

AS for Dhaka.....it is a disgusting place where only 20% of the population has access to a bathroom. It stinks.

United have seven aircraft.....as of today one is serviceable. Pilots are fired for entering defects in the tech log. The company also fits bogus 'copy' parts to the fleet and wonders why they go wrong again within 24 hours. The associated documentation such as certificate of release to service is of course false.

Crew training files are a work of pure fiction.....falsified certificates abound. Crew members are noted as having passed exams and attended courses when they weren't even in the country!!!!

This is one company to avoid.....do not be tempted to join them!!! It is expected that the European authorities will ban this company from EU airspace and other authories are believed to be showing a keen interest in them.

Avois at all costs!!! You have been warned!!!!

Dhaka is city full of good people, in a unique and proud country. Sometimes you forget to ask where you want to be born. Cut them some slack. And please don't call my home roach infested. We have a few amongst us, but they are generally quiet and well-mannered.

looks like it's almost over for this shocking little company. Two more expat pilots 'walked' this week......one just disappeared during the night.

These people should not be allowed to operate.....they are unsafe and insolvent.

The management are totally corrupt.....the Dir Flt Ops recently took a personal payment of $10000 USD from a failed first officer not to fire him.

The deputy DFO has spent the last 6 months writing manuals for the new start that will soon kill United off.

The turboprop fleet manager has been uncovered as a total fraud with a log book full of false entries.

Please guys......do not be tempted to join this outfit!!!!

I am from Bangladesh living in USA. What you said don't surprise me at all. Over there you get jobs based on connections or money. Experience don't mean jack. Well if you ask me although I am Bangladesh citizen I will admit I can't understand why any westerners would ever wanna go there. No money in this world is worth living there for.

I got the hak out of there as soon as I could, but I am soon to be deported so the reality is you have to work over there you gotta take what you got. So for locals it's great because unless you pay the right people or know the right people or you got the balls to beat somebody up you ain't getting nowhere in life over there.

I would do anything to I mean anything legal to not have to go back there. haven't lived there since I was 18. Now I am 28 and I still have nightmares about being back there. I remember growing up I always looked at foreigners and wondered why on earth in the right mind these people come to work here.

As for the false logbook entry over there only people that get in are the shady ones. Of course I am sure there are few honest folks, but doubt they get too far considering you are competing with people with fancy shady hours and under table pay.

I often run into people from countries over in the region who show up to go for a scenic flight. Often I am surprised at how poor their knowledge and experience is and wonder how could they even fly. One guy I met who flies MD-82 PIC there couldn't even picture a hold entry in his head. I was like wow my starting Instrument Student can do that.

Man my home is one big piece of ****. People living in the streets in USA got a better quality and security in life.

I know many of you are gonna hate me, but hey it's not my fault. It is what it is. If our county sucks you can keep saying it's green and bla bla bla all day long people aren't blind. Another reason why my country suck is because people are too proud to acknowledge the truth. I say what you proud of?? Scoring number one is corruption, all kinds of shady things in the list? Only if my countryman had the balls to admit the reality.

'Airplane Crazy'.......I do not wish to insult you or your country......but this particular airline would appear to be rotten from the core......

CAAB are apparently revoking the AOC of United tomorrow and some post holders have already been arrested and will face criminal charges........seems like the bribe fund has run out!!!!
