I agree with jimmygill you can't compare IIT, IIM with IGRUA.. Apart from comparing them IGRUA don't have standards for themselves at the very first place.
>I appeared for IGRUA twice. First time my B.Sc degree was taken in eligibility criteria.. I couldn't make it that time I applied next time & I wondered they rejected stating B.Sc degree I have, does not fit in the criteria as per the bible of IGRUA.
>One guy I know , his father was one of the top rank serving Army officer., Can you imagine he wrote his father's name with rank n all on the top of the application form with a highlight. (as instructed by his father).. & much to expectations he cleared all the rounds.. does these type of things happen even in ny of the gud institutes.. NO.. Corruption n irregularities are every where but don't you think IGRUA gave a new dimension to it??

If the IGRUAns claim to be the best, then they should not be afraid to beat off other CPL holders in a fair and open for all examination conducted by AI, IC etc.

Especially when...
The standard of IGRUA is far far better when compared to what is available from outside

@AnjaliQ - I did not get your last line at all.

"Hey pulkdahulk .....so that I can understand what are you trying to write.u wrote this. U call this decent grammar it should b so that I can understand what you are trying to write."

I got the first line till the second punctuation mark. But after that I have no clue what are trying to imply?

Okay your Original Post excerpts as below

"Hey u guys
Was looking for advice... I wanna start my flying but dunno from where to do it states is not an option so its either igrua or d flying school in gondia .which do u think is better .. Igrua has campus placements which is great but pretty soon gondia will too n by soon I mean this month dads a senior pilot with ai n is in d recruitment team that's how I know...but I still think igrua is better urrrggghhh so confusing... Help me .thanksxxx"

Your words sounds like you text too much and you use a lot of short cuts. Sorry but I am not used to your short cut language.

If this was much better

"Hey Guys, I was looking for an advice. I wanna start my flying but dunno from where to do it from. The States is not an Option; so its either Igrua or the flying school in Gondia. Which do you think is better..Igrua has campus placements which is great but pretty soon Gondia will too and by soon I mean this month. My dad is a senior pilot with A.I, and is in the Recruitment team and that's how I know, but I still think IGRUA is better.....urrggghhh so confusing....Help me. Thanksxxx

It is basic Courtesy and maintaining Professionalism. This is PPRUNE...Google it for Full Form if you can or look above.

No look carefully, I wrote the way you wrote that "dunno" "urrggghhh"...I am not asking for you to write "do not know", what I am saying is break your sentence up with Punctuations...Its like taking 4 sentences and making them into 1.

@AnjaliQ - And you want to stick to the point

Your father is an Air India Captain and in the Recruitment team. You have your own answer right in front of you.

IGRUA and Gondia are both handled by CAE.

IGRUA has been there and will be doing it as they do always - Pilot Hiring, Training and Placement.

Gondia - Just about to open their campus for Training. They will take time to get established and be a fully functional institute.

So IGRUA if you are wise enough (wink*)

I spent a good 30mins reading this thread. Quite funny when people from IGRUA think they are 'Top Guns'. They think its the best ? I remember reading about one particular crash where the student pilot thought he was 'sunny deol' and took the aircraft over a lake/dam at about 5ft AGL and touched the water and crashed. Saw a video on Youtube about someone's solo and the guy filming was repeating the word cool/nice/smooth like a retard. Entrance exams and interviews are all right but what about flying? How about putting an IGRUA student into New York or Atlanta's airspace and see if they are the best Anyways I am not saying IGRUA is not good. My aunt passed out from IGRUA in 1991 and has been flying with AI since. But they do it better in the US

yes absolutely

@ISSUE:Yes U.S does it a better way.Students from U.S really have more knowledge..Its just when jet exams comes up they forget everything and 50% of igruan passes it.Its just that DGCA thinks that people coming from U.S has to appear for a check before he gets a CPL.Its just that they do 1 week of ground studies while IGRUA does 6 month of ground studies.AI comes for the campus..Routine visit by almost all they airlines in INDIA..They have better aircraft..Better instructors...better routines...otherwise U.S does it a better way...and in training its only you who keeps on saying retard-retard..but i can understand in U.S you are taught that..

Lets open a looser forum in which your comment will be appreciated....
