Well see you in ICN end of may I´m there too.
My friend has been already there. Simulator is nothing special. They emphasize on good CRM, and one of the absolute No Go´s is to touch the FMC when you are PF in manual Flight.
Captains and FO Screening is pretty much the the same - The only difference is, Captain has to do an RTO and FO has to fly a visual pattern at the end.
If you have own ICN Charts and an 744 QRH, take it with you to the sim.
Interview is pretty straight foreward - only about 10 minutes.
Medical is little bit tough. They keep an eye on cholesterol, if you are over 200 you are not busted, but must reattend the medical. Also they test eyes a lot.

thanks Snoopy for infos, it sounds like a screening with no bad surprises.
bman, if i were you, i would not count on any upgrade so rapidly, at least on the initial 5 year contract.

bman, yes my friend got in, he starts in Sept with the training.
jay, I met an expat Korean Capt. who was also involved in Recruiting, he told me that they say no upgrade because of the unions... what then really happens, is something else...
Personally I stick to one rule. Nothing is more obsolete than the talk from yesterday, if its not written down and signed by both sides.
I have roughly 2500 hours now, so I don´t even think of an upgrade in the next five years, so the KAL contract would fit perfect for me.
Good luck guys, c u in ICN.
