I would like to know any infos of the security clearance process in DGCA.
How long does it takes usually?
What they check for security clearance?
Is this formal or strict?
Thank you very much previously

I have heard rumors that it takes from 6-12 weeks. It depends on your nationality.

Any Indian pilots here that can help out . It would be nice.

Thanks

Stupid Indian Sec Clr

Did mine last yr - was a ****ty experience, 4 months of hell & nobody knowing what was going on, or where my papers were.

I'm holding a UK passport & OCI, but Indian Govt officials - re. clueless dickheads, haven't got a idea of how to run anything. All this crap for an RTR. Finally got help from a family member - v.big wig in Indian Army - who shouted at some people & they just cleared me. IMO, I don't think any real clearances take place, but that's subjective to how the system works.

Anyway, all's well that ends well - good luck to all

Greetings, all!

Security Clearance says that you do not pay points for clearance appropriate for your position in the hierarchy (military or whatever), but DO pay if you are a civilian with access to military secrets, etc. But one of the clearance variants is Need To Know. Which seems to fall under the former. Weird. So what IS it really?

Thanks in advance!

Mine took 8-10 weeks a few year ago. Company pushed it through after a time I suspect.

BCA are even more useless.

Hi,

Can you please let me know the process?

I am a UK passport holder; having an OCI and settled in India since the last 10 years.
And I want to pursue private pilot license here in India.

I did my class-2 medical; but my doctor (DGCA approved) says that he cannot file because I am British.

Whom do I contact for my medical security clearance?
I understand that my flying school will file my security clearance for the computer number.
But I am stuck on my medical.

Please help.

Thanks,
Deven
