Borneo Air Asia

Heard this through the grapevine. Borneo Air Asia will commence operation out of Brunei in April 06.

Quite a lot of Bruneians catch AK out Miri. AK has been wanting to fly into Brunei for some time now, but has faced hindrances. Apparently a joint venture with local investors will establish a base in Brunei under the name of Borneo Air Asia.

It will be the best thing to happen in aviation in Brunei if AK really start services. Royal Brunei Airlines standards have dropped badly and a bit of loco competition will force them to address many issues which should have been fixed several years ago.

Good luck Air Asia. This competition will be beneficial for all those interested in giving/receiving a fair deal.
