LATC

Hi wcj8638,

I dont think LATC is taking in civillian students yet,not for now.The reason LATC was opened up in the first place was to take in MAS cadets as MFA is becoming too crowded. So now they're still concentrating on training MAS cadets, dont know when they'll open up,maybe when they have the resources.Got this info from someone I know in MFA.

Suggest to visit both places. Talk to the man who want to take your money. Then talk to the students presently enrolled.

Doing it in Oz a good idea but check with DCA and what obstacles they are going to put in your way when you come back to convert. Any monies saved, may be wasted on the conversion. DCA requirement depends on if they like your face!

We are now all waiting for "That special someone at LATC" to give it a plug

Go for it ME. We want to see you get stomped on again.

yup... then you can meet the dude with no hair and the sore troat, and tell you his school is the best in the world, and the food is excellent, and that discipline is a way of life and,... answer any question you have with a my academy's the best, it has everything:
badminton courts - next to the runway
football field - which is not on their land and has snakes in the grass
swimming pool - which is actually a public pool in the city
planes - we've got lots, we can fit another 200 people in here
ground school - we've got 2 new classrooms. check em out.. (just make sure you dont jump in the classroom, the floor might fall out( it's actually an ex-container used in construction sites)
hostels - 5 star 700 bucks a month toilet sized rooms and aircons on from 4pm ~ 7 am only.

incase you haven't guessed it i'm talking about Money Flying Away, where we practice Higher Payments Always

sorry, but i'm not a guy you'd want to talk to about MFA.. i absof'kinglutely hate that place..

but, go anyway.. you might like it..

Hi, since u guys say Australia is a good place to get my CPL,but still i need to convert my license when i am back here? so i suppose even the cost might be lower,on the other side ,all the living fees, air tickets, and conversion fees might just add up to be equivalent to what i get here.

Is MFA really that bad ( snakes in football field !?!?!?)

If that's the case, when it is 2006,i'll just see if LATC opens up for private students,if not,I might just close my eyes on my way to MFA,hope that my tears won't come out that way.....

Is that final result,i mean the CPL plus the frozen ATPL i get worth it ( neglecting all those nightmares and snakes i got in MFA) ? IS IT WORTH IT???? 150k ....

Who can say for sure if it's really worth it? Every once so often I get starry eyed youths coming up to me asking how they can be a pilot. And I always sak them to go for it.

But I ain't giving this job up oh no...lol!

to tell you the truth.. MFA is survivable.. i did and many others did too.. but the thing is, the value for money and the respect you get there is horrible. you pay 150+++ to be there, and they treat you as if they paid you to be there.. so you deceide.

but if i were you try for LATC, go for something new.. new planes (real nice), new school (old building hehhe but nevermind). and one thing i cant guarantee you is that the principle is a really nice guy.. really really nice guy. he will always try to do his best for you.

so you deciede./

hi,

cav-not-ok, seems like u are on the same wavelength as me,ever since i heard that LATC starts to operate,i see myself as a student there one day, even it is far from KL,maybe it is because MFA's reputation in the forum automatically makes LATC a better option, but, who knows?

I heard that they now start to take in private students, true or false?

but unfortunately LATC course fee MUST include living fees, 16k to 21k for the whole 14 months, which is a bit on the fence for me since i plan to get a bank loan to fly, any advice on which body or bank provide loans? (up to 150k ,if not ,as much as possible) and better still if it doesn't need collateral, dun mind paying more interest ...
