CPL Expired - DGCA haywired

Help!:confused:
CPL issued = 2008
CPL expired = 2013
Renewal procedure 3 yrs after expiry:
According to DGCA
All papers (CPL)
25 hrs PIC
20 hrs Sim
5 Route Checks

Now, I can digest the papers thing...
But flying stuff would easily set me back by 5 lacs!

Anyone have any idea?

Hey there! Any update on your question?

I'm pretty much in the same boat...(well almost)
2010 - License Issued
2015 - License Expired
Do we still have to give all 5 papers if we had originally converted out license or just Nav, Met and Regs?

Also, let me know if you get any updates, I will do so too..
Good Luck!

The reference CAR is Rule 42 "For a period exceeding 3 years....All examinations and 3 tests required for the issue of the licence or
rating." The tests (flying) that the DGCA is referring to is as follows( an extract from Section J
(i) general flying test by day;
(ii) general flying test by night;
(iii) a cross-country flight test by day consisting of a flight of not less than two hundred
fifty nautical miles in the course of which at least one full stop landing at an
aerodrome other than the aerodrome of departure shall be made; and
(iv) a cross-country flying test by night consisting of a flight of not less than one hundred
twenty nautical miles returning to the place of departure without landing elsewhere.

Note 1: your FRTOL, RTR and Medical (Class 1) needs to be current prior to undertaking the flying tests.
Note 2: Checks can only be conducted on the aircraft which is endorsed on your license. Therefore the relevant specific paper needs to be cleared
