Looks like an awesome opportunity especially since it is fully funded. Not sure if you need Hong Kong citizenship to apply though. Best of luck!

3k is for sure reasonable. Just checked on british council, IELTS costs you 1930 and will be increasing in JUL2017. It also includes a testing fee with the flight school which it claims to be the first round.

I think the problem to all is that the timing for the payment. Some think its not worth at all, why am I paying for this uncertainty, I'm not even guaranteed for an interview or offer? why should I?

I will put it in this way. We all will be confident and well prepared before hitting the apply button, why 3k stops you from acheiving your dream.

Its like its just 3k.

Is this programme open to all nationalities?

I think so. Btw, where can we see that 3K non-refundable application fee please? coz I cannot see the above information in the registration page.

Do people no longer read the requirements.
The very first requirement listed is:

• Right of abode in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Permanent Resident)

only to Hong Kong permanent residents

Is it open to all nationals? If so then whats educational qualification equivalents?

No local HK PR only

Did anyone go to their recently held career talk in the exhibition centre? Did they give more info on how the selection process gonna be like?

If ctc is doing the initial selection process for HX, that means we gonna be facing cut-e?? (Just browsing through websites, looks like they recently change to cut-e as well)

There was a road show yesterday thursday at the marriot sky..to answer all cadet question with HR and the Capt who is the leader for the cadet program.

I sent an email to them asking the same question. This following is their response.

"For application, we understand that not everyone will have IELTS. Please declare your academic entirely and we can confirm that you will not be automatically disqualified. If successful in the selection you may be required to have IELTS submitted at a later stage.

Full list of exams/degrees or other qualifications taken at University with year taken and grades achieved
Details of any previous or current employment with name of company, dates of joining and leaving
Details of two referees that you have known for more than 5 years, (not relatives or close friends) including their address and telephone number.
