Help with Books for NAV CPL DGCA

So I've just started self-studying for my first attempt on NAV exam. Got the keith williams for the same, but it has 2 parts i.e 1000 questions for General Navigation and 1000 questions for Radio Navigation. Im certain about the General Navigation. But for the ,CPL Exam for Navigation do I need to go through th Radio Navigation too? And other than these books is there any other book that you would recommend. Thanks a ton.

Hi Akshay

The DGCA Nav exam actually consists of the following subjects

1) General Navigation
2) Radio Navigation
3) Instrumentation
4) Performance
5) Mass and Balance
6) Flight Planning

Please read the DGCA syllabus thoroughly for the same

The Indian DGCA follows the EASA ATPL syllabus for both CPL and ATPL . Keith Williams is nice but dont stick to it alone

I highly recommend the Oxford ATPL books as well

Good Luck

If you want to look at the EASA syllabus, the Oxford books are out of date these days - I haven't heard of any plans to update them. The new Jeppesen stuff is just awful and not recommended.

The pad pilot books (covering single subjects) are reasonable, available from ibooks, and the last alternative is EASA Professional Pilot Studies at $59 for the PDF, covering all subjects.

I would also recommend a subscription to aviation exam.
