Medical Renewals

Hello all! Have some confusion with the medical renewals. Does the rule of doing the 4th renewal (or the 3rd) at AFCME still exist? If yes, then what is the procedure? Since I have been doing my renewals with a private practitioner, I am a little lost about the procedure.

I'd really appreciate any help with this.

Yes, it still applies. Medical Assessment rules can be found in this link - http://dgca.nic.in/cars/D7C-C1.PDF

This is the part that applies -

Every fourth year renewal or every seventh six-monthly renewal as applicable. -

i) AFCME, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi
ii) IAM,Vimanpura, Bangalore
iii) MEC (East), Jorhat
Or
any other centre at the discretion of DGCA.

Well, I filled out the form according to this link

and e-mailed it to DGCA. Anyone did this off late? How long does it take for them to get back with the appointment confirmation?

Got a date for my 4th renewal at Palam. Can someone tell me how does the renewal go? I mean the tests conducted and such? Do I need to go in a fasted state? There are some issues at DGCA sending the confirmation mails, so I have no idea what to expect.
