Is Beechcraft Model 76 Duchess recognized by DGCA India?

Hello friends,i am an Indian national with EASA license wanting to convert my license to Indian CPL with ME IR. I recently read in the DGCA website for ME endorsement in the converted license, the aircraft flown should be accepted by DGCA. I did my 12 hrs of ME pston training in the Beechcraft Model 76 Duchess. I searched all over the net and even sent few mails to DGCA personals to confirm if this aircraft is accepted or not. But did't get answer from anywhere. If any of you guys have information on this or some sort of link to the list, please pass it.

thanks

@ANZZ

The DGCA derecogised the Duchess in early 2011 . One of the main requirements to endorse an ME rating is that the aircraft should be registered in India AND it should have a valid Certificate of Airworthiness (CoA) .

The CoA of the only duchess in India expired in 2008 .

Other options to obtain a multi include Piper Seneca , DA 42 and P68 which are available at flight schools in India and hence maintain a valid CoA

Please read this circular inside out as you proceed with the conversion of your DGCA CPL license

Going through the CPL application form for issue of license helps clear a lot of doubts as well

You have made the cardinal sin of expecting reply from DGCA. Do NOT expect them to reply your emails, pick up your phone calls or have any sort of communication with them. Needless to say, never expect your licences/endorsements to be processed on time or in an efficient manner.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Aviation in India.

Thanks for the reply :). I am planning to get type rating on A320 or B737 on my EASA licence. Can you tell if this will help me skip the ME piston requirement and get DGCA CPL with ME based on my new Jet type rating?
